Hello and Welcome to my little site!

My name is Sarah and I'm a cancer ninja, a Hodgkin ninja to be precise.

Here's a wee bio in bullet points:

1. I'm English and was born in a little town on the boarder of Wales famous for cider and the SAS..

2. I was once in a surprisingly scary situation with a herd of sheep up a mountain in Norway. I will never underestimate a sheep again.

3. I love travelling and have lived in 6 different countries. My favourite city is Chicago.

4. During my Aid Worker days I went 7 months eating mainly soya mince with garlic and only a handful of hot showers. First thing my sister said when I got back from the airport was that I smelt. A fair observation I feel.

5. Growing up I wanted to be a Show jumper, International News Correspondent, Veterinarian, Lawyer, Relief Worker or Baker. I would still like to be all those (bar the lawyer - AS level law was too much for me) but am very happy where I am as a mummy, writer and marketeer.

6. I could live off sushi and Lindt's Dark Orange Intense Chocolate.

7. My husband asked me to marry him in New York, by asking if I'd ever considered marriage and if so would I consider eloping in 2 days time.

8. We didn't elope, but I did marry him on the condition that one day we have a dog (he's a cat man). After 5 years of marriage we've had a hamster, 2 cats, 2 children and 0 dogs. I still love him.*

9. My baby girls are 21 months apart and are my everything. They also love chocolate and cats.

10. I was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin Lymphoma on August 5, 2014. I remember this as it was 2 days before my oldest's second birthday and 2 days before my youngest turned 3 months.

11. I started this blog for a few reasons; to document my journey for my girls and family, to give myself a place to write as I love it and most importantly to show all others affected by the big C that they are not alone.

Thank you for reading my story and apologies for my notoriously bad spelling.

*Update Dec 2015. We have a dog, I can't quite believe it but here she is
